Art & Experience Cinema Group has scheduled to screen five award-winning short films during Nowruz holidays.
The short films will go on screen in 90-minute sessions from the second week of the holidays starting late in March
The selected films, 'Retouch', 'Animal', 'Lunch Time', 'Birthday Night' and 'Not Yet', are among the most successful Iranian short films in the global film events in the past two years.
Directed by Kaveh Mazaheri, 'Retouch' is about a young woman whose husband dies before her eyes and she just observes the tragic scene.
Co-directed by filmmakers Bahram and Bahman Ark, depicts the story of a man who wants to pass the border illegally; so, he hunts a ram and decides to escape disguised as the animal.
Directed by Alireza Qasemi, ‘Lunch Time’ is about a high school girl who has come to the hospital to identify the body of her mother. The people in charge at the hospital would not let her into the morgue because of her young age.
Directed by Omid Shams, 'Birthday Night' narrates the story of two friends and business partners, Ahmad and Ali, who face unexpected challenges on their birthday night.
Directed by Ariyan Vazirdaftari, 'Not Yet' is about Hasti who has just turned 21. She studies abroad and her parents in Iran want to congratulate her online.
